The Mystery Box

I have always thought that choosing one’s own gift takes some of the fun out of receiving it.

So, for this particular gift, I have decided to do the choosing myself.

You will not find a list of things you may select from, nor will you be asked to pick a colour, a style or a particular item. There is simply one Mystery Box option, and once you have ordered it, you leave the rest to me.

What I put inside may be beautiful, curious, useful, extravagant, sentimental, unusual or something you would never have thought to buy for yourself. It may be something I have discovered somewhere, something handmade, something particularly lovely, something rare, or simply something that made me think, “This belongs with this person.”

And every box is different.

If you order another one six months from now, I may send you something completely unlike your first. There is no catalogue from which I choose and no fixed collection of items that must go into every box. I decide each time.

But there is something I would like from you

Before I prepare your gift, tell me a little about yourself.

Tell me about your current struggles and your little joys. Tell me what you have been dreaming about, what you love, what you miss, what you are working towards or simply what has been occupying your thoughts lately.

You need not write an essay. Tell me as much or as little as you wish.

You never can tell… I might send you a heartfelt surprise. 🫢

Your message does not give you any control over what you receive. Quite the opposite. It merely gives me a little glimpse of the person for whom I am choosing.

And then I shall choose.

What might be inside?

That is precisely what I shall not tell you.

There are no guaranteed categories and no predetermined contents. Your box could contain one extraordinary thing or several wonderful things. It could be something luxurious, something handmade, something collectable, something practical, something beautiful or something so unexpected that you wonder how I happened to find it.

On occasion, I may even include something from my own collection or one of my own creations, but there is no promise that I shall do so.

That is part of the fun.

For yourself or for someone else

You may purchase Lady Rosamund’s Mystery Gift for yourself, or you may send it to someone whose reaction you would dearly love to see when the box arrives.

Either way, the recipient does not choose what is inside!

That privilege belongs only to Lady Rosamund.

We cannot accept requests for particular products, colours, brands or styles, and the contents of one Mystery Gift should not be expected to resemble another.
